Everyone Gets Their Own Square

  • Cooks no longer pile onto the same spot. A cook who needs the fridge or grill while someone else is using it now waits on the tile beside it and steps up when it's free, instead of standing right on top of the cook working there.
  • Staff with nothing to do spread out too. Idle cooks wait in the kitchen, each on their own tile and out of the way of the stations and the pass, instead of standing wherever their last job ended. The head chef watches the pass from beside it.
  • Over ten test days, the time two staff spent standing on the same tile fell from about 34 minutes to a few seconds, and service didn't slow down.
