Scrape, Wash, Rack, One Plate at a Time

The kitchen trash can moved next to the dish area, into the back counter two squares from the sink.
The dishwasher takes her plates from the drop to the trash can first and scrapes them one at a time, and every plate's scraps go into the can.
At the sink she washes one plate at a time and sets each in the dish rack beside her as soon as it's clean, instead of carrying a finished stack over at the end.
The dirty-dish drop's tub now spans most of its counter, with room for the plates, silverware and glasses bussers leave in it.
