The Grill Cook

  • Food on the grill or stove cooks by itself. A cook only needs to be there to put it on, flip it and take it off.
  • The cook who puts food on an empty grill stays as the grill cook: they flip and take off everyone's items, on the grill and the stove beside it, until it's clear.
  • Other cooks put their food on from the square beside the grill cook, then go do something else.
  • Food that's been taken off waits beside the grill, off the heat, until a cook is free to finish the dish. (Still: tending, placing from the side, taking off)
  • Idle servers spread out, one at the pass, one at the drink station and one at the register, so someone is close to whatever comes up next.
  • The check printer has a quicker receipt sound, and the server waits two seconds for it to finish before taking the check.
