The Owner's Kitchen, and Racks That Come Back
- The test kitchen now starts in the layout the Owner built in the game. The sink, fridge, grill and stove share the north counter, with the glass rack beside the sink. The island two rows down has the trash can, the plating table, two prep tables and two mise rails. The dirty bin, the dish rack spot, the silverware tray and the drink station are in the service counter.
- The dishwasher's racks stay hers. Someone carries a full one to the plating table, empties it into the cooks' plate trays, and brings it back. Cooks no longer take her racks away. A cook who runs out of plates takes one straight from her rack. (GIF: a rack out and back)
- Her racks are the wire drying rack; the cooks' are plate trays. A counter holds a set number of each (2 racks, 3 trays), drawn at full size, so adding one never shrinks the others. The shop won't sell a third rack.
- When her rack is out of reach, a washed plate or glass goes onto the sink's dry side to be carried over at the end. Before, it floated toward the rack and stayed in the sink.
- The sink no longer hangs over the counter's front edge.
- A cook waiting for plates steps to a free tile out of everyone's way instead of standing on the dirty bin's tile.
