The Grill From Every Side

The grill has new art from all four sides, drawn to the same rules as the chest fridge: a box with a grate top, an edge and a body, sitting at exactly the counter's heights. From the front it shows four knobs and a handle rail; from the back, a vent.
Turned side-on it took seven rounds, and the reason is worth telling. In the middle of a run of counters the game draws only the top of a side-on piece, stretched to fill the tile — so the grate's bars have to run the same way in every view or they come out fat, and anything that tells you which way the grill faces has to be on the top, not the side. The fridge already did this with the handle on its lid. The grill does it with the top of its control housing, a narrow strip along the edge it faces.
Six of the seven rounds were judged against a diagram of the bands rather than against the game. Once the brief was written from screenshots of every placement a side-on grill can be in, the next round passed.
